Giuliano, Antonio
and Luigi Gozio
Distillerie Franciacorta
Distillerie Franciacorta was founded in 1901 by Luigi Gozio (the grandfather of the three brothers, Giuliano, Antonio and Luigi, who currently run the company) in Gussago, a town in the splendid hilly region of Franciacorta in the Italian Province of Brescia.
Luigi Gozio began distilling according to traditional methods, to much acclaim. In 1930 the founder, whose business had originally been named “Distillerie Gozio”, added the word “Franciacorta” to distinguish himself from many other distillers in the same region who also used the name “Gozio.”
Since then, through three subsequent generations, the company has continued to expand and evolve, while always cherishing and nurturing old traditions.
